General
Where is your office?
We’re at 53 MB, Zainab Tower, Model Town Link Road, Lahore. You’re welcome to visit, or we can do everything remotely over WhatsApp and email.
Do you only work with clients in Lahore?
No. Most filing and registration happens online, so we work with clients across Pakistan and with overseas Pakistanis.
How do I get started?
Message us on WhatsApp at 0336 437 1798 with what you need. We’ll send you a document checklist and a quote before any work begins.
Is the first consultation free?
Yes. Your first conversation with us is free, whether it’s about a tax return, a new company or a notice from FBR.
Is my information kept confidential?
Yes. Your documents and financial details are used only for your work and are never shared without your permission.
Income Tax Return Filing
When is the income tax return deadline?
Pakistan’s tax year runs from 1 July to 30 June. For most individuals the return is due by 30 September after the tax year ends, and FBR sometimes extends the date. You can still file after the deadline, but late filing can mean penalties and affects your ATL status, so it’s best to file on time.
What is the Active Taxpayers List (ATL)?
The ATL is FBR’s list of people and businesses who have filed their returns. If you’re on it (a “filer”), you generally pay lower withholding tax on banking transactions, property purchases, vehicle registration and more.
I don’t have taxable income. Should I still file?
Often, yes. Filing a return keeps you on the ATL, documents your assets properly, and makes property deals, loans and visa applications easier.
Can you file returns for previous years?
Yes. We can prepare and file pending returns for earlier years and explain any penalties involved before we start.
Company Registration (SECP)
What’s the difference between an SMC and a Private Limited company?
A Single Member Company has one shareholder plus a nominee, which suits solo founders. A Private Limited company has two or more shareholders. Both give you limited liability and a separate legal identity.
How long does SECP registration take?
It depends on name availability and how quickly documents are ready. Once everything is in order, online applications move quickly. We’ll give you a realistic timeline after reviewing your case.
Does the company need its own NTN?
Yes. A company has its own NTN, separate from the directors’ personal NTNs. In many cases it’s issued alongside incorporation, and we make sure it’s active and set up correctly on IRIS.
Can overseas Pakistanis or foreigners register a company?
Yes. Overseas Pakistanis can register using their CNIC or NICOP. Foreign nationals can also be shareholders or directors, with some extra documentation and clearance requirements.
NTN & Sales Tax Registration
Is my NTN the same as my CNIC number?
For individuals, yes. Once you register on IRIS, your CNIC number works as your NTN. Partnerships (AOPs) and companies receive a separate NTN.
Do I need FBR or PRA sales tax registration?
Broadly, sales tax on goods is handled by FBR, while sales tax on services in Punjab is handled by PRA. Some businesses need both. We’ll look at what you sell and register you with the right authority.
What do I have to do after registering for sales tax?
Registered businesses file a sales tax return every month, even when there’s nothing to declare. We can file these for you so you never miss a deadline.
Bookkeeping & Accounting
Can you work with the records I already have?
Yes. Spreadsheets, accounting software or a folder of receipts: we start from what you have and set up a simple system that fits your business.
How often will I get reports?
Monthly is typical, so you always know where the business stands. Smaller businesses can move to quarterly.
Why does bookkeeping matter for tax?
Your tax return and withholding statements are only as accurate as your records. Clean books mean correct returns, fewer FBR queries and a much easier time if you’re ever audited.
Business & Tax Consultancy
I’ve received a notice from FBR. What should I do?
Don’t ignore it, because notices have deadlines. Send us a photo or PDF of the notice on WhatsApp and we’ll explain what it means and how to respond.
How does the latest budget affect me?
Each year’s Finance Act changes tax rates and withholding rules. Tell us about your income and plans, and we’ll explain the changes that actually apply to you.
Is the first consultation free?
Yes. Your first conversation with us is free. Tell us what you need and we’ll explain the options and next steps.
Audit & Compliance Support
Do you carry out statutory audits?
Statutory audits of companies must be done by a chartered accountancy firm. We prepare your records and schedules, liaise with your auditors and support you through the process.
What annual filings does a company have with SECP?
Most private companies file an annual return every year and must report changes, such as new directors or a new address, within set deadlines. We track these for you.
We’ve missed filings in previous years. Can you help?
Yes. We’ll review what’s outstanding, explain any penalties and help you get back into good standing.
Still have a question?
Send it to us on WhatsApp and we’ll answer personally.
